Design District…

…located north of Wynwood, is a former plantation and low-rise warehouses area.

Thanks to the vision of a few private investors, it grew in popularity since 2000. If you are looking for authenticity and vintage, just move on… Though, Design District is the place where you will find latest inspiring architecture and amazing luxury brand buildings.

High-end fashion boutiques stand alongside fine homedesign stores and architecture and design firms.

Many luxury “maisons”, especially French brands such as Louis Vuitton, Hèrmes or Dior chose to open their flagship stores in this vibrating and creative District, leaving behind the posh Bal Harbour district on North Miami Beach.

If you want to have a coffee or an outstanding croissant, I would recommend to move a little north to Buena Vista Déli. Buena Vista was indeed the historical name of this district.

I have to add that this is not the most kids-friendly place, as the picture below might not really portray…
